No matter how careful you are, leather can become accidentally damaged. Cover these unsightly marks with Scuff Master leather touch-up dyes. Scuff Master leather dyes are 'new generation' water based colours which do not require a topcoat sealant - it's built in. Once dry, the colour is permanent and waterproof.
A Scuff Master kit allows for fading or slight variations in original leather by providing small bottles of toner to darken or lighten the main colour. We also provide a Gloss Enhancer to allow for leather that has become shiny, so with a little mixing you can exactly match your leather.
Scuff Master colours are also CONCENTRATED so that you can repair all the common damage that occurs. Just add water to the dye to thin it to your needs. Seats should be thoroughly cleaned with Liquid Leather GT12 (Cleaner ) first, then touched in and finally( conditioned) with Liquid Leather GT11. Yes that’s the one which smells of leather.
- TO REPAIR SCRATCHES AND MINOR CUTS: Use Scuff Master dye concentrated and toner if necessary, fill the scratch with dye using a tooth pick or split match, wipe off excess dye from the sides of the scratch, allow to dry, then "colour wash" if necessary (described below).
- COLOUR RUB OFF AND SCUFFS: Apply Scuff Master dye neat after toning and dab onto the damaged area with the foam provided, repeat if necessary, then "colour wash" to blend in.
- CREASES AND CRACKS: You do NOT want to fill in the cracks with dye as this will form a wedge and increase the damage. We need to recolor the black leather which shows within the cracks.
- Clean the leather thoroughly with GT12, wipe out residue with a wet cloth and leave to dry. Dilute Scuff Master with 20% water and wipe over the leather, leave 30 seconds and wipe off with a damp cloth: this we call "COLOUR WASHING", the dye will remain in the cracks but come off the good leather.
Leave all repairs 24 hours before conditioning with GT11. Water based Scuff Master does not attack stitching, does not dry out leather and does not smell of cellulose thinners. If you mess it up, simply wipe it off with a damp cloth before it dries and try again.
We have included a quality microfiber for the application of the conditioner with this set.
GT12 Concentrated/Intensive Cleaner

GT11 Conditioner
A water based cream with traditional leather aroma, soaks in immediately, no polishing off, softens restores leather very quickly and really does reinstate the real smell of leather.
